The Local area
Our location
Fairytale Glamping sits in a great location with lots of local amenities. The nearest town is Bourne, a busy little market town which is a 5 minute drive away. It has 3 large supermarkets, lots of restaurants, an outdoor / indoor swimming pool and a soft play. For those wet days there is the lovely paint a pot place too. Bourne woods has lots of walking trails and there are some awesome play parks around the area.
About 10 miles up the road is the beautiful and historic town of Stamford. We would highly recommend a visit here.

Bourne Outdoor swimming pool
Bourne is lucky enough to have an outdoor lido. Just a 5 minute drive away from Fairytale glamping. It is a great way to spend a day. It has an on site cafe, children's pool and play area! Open seasonally from end of May till September.
the spinney
A hidden gem in a small village called Little Bytham, located about 10 minutes from Fairy tale glamping. A wonderful woodland with a large play area. The best bit - it is free! Take a picnic and enjoy the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.
Rutland water
Rutland water
Rutland Water is the biggest reservoir in the UK and hosts no end of fun activities. It has the seasonal Aqua Park. There are miles of cycle routes with lots of lovely cafe stops on the routes. Cycle hire available. Plus loads more!

sacrewell farm
Around 25 minutes away, Sacrewell farm has lots for all the family. On dry days it has an epic outdoor play area, lots of animals and lovely trails plus a cafe! For those wet days there is a soft play area onsite.
belton house
Belton house, run by the national trust, is around 25 minutes away. It is in a beautiful rural location with a lovely cafe and restaurant and another epic play area!

This park is packed full of FUN! Beautiful walks and trails, play areas and many outdoor activities, this is a visit not to be missed. If you need anymore ideas please ask when you arrive for your stay!

We would highly recommend a visit to the six bells pub. Located about a 5 minute drive away in the beautiful village of Witham on the Hill. Great food and a lovely setting.

The Sugar Mill is located on the outskirts of Bourne and is a great place for families. The food is great value, there is plenty of parking and lots of outdoor space.
